Our colleague Slobodan Repija was one of the panellists at the DPS Drustvo procenitelja Srbije Conference, speaking about the role of AI in real estate valuation and the future of the profession. One of the key conclusions was that artificial intelligence has the potential to transform the profession, but the most likely scenario is coexistence between AI tools and the valuer — the human factor remains essential. Transparency and availability of information, as well as creative reasoning and professional judgment, continue to be major challenges. Changes in the concept of responsibility will also require a broad professional consensus. Automotised Valuation Models (AVM) solutions can already provide certain benefits, although their application in the Serbian market is still somewhat limited.
