Panel – Gender Equality as a prerequisite for developed economies

Key issues concerning the equality of women in business were discussed at the event called ‘Successes, Challenges and the Future of Women in Business’, organized by the AmCham Serbia. Through partnerships with relevant institutions and organisations, as well as with active participation in projects like ‘She Knows – Project for Economic Empowerment of Women’, supported by USAID, AmCham seeks to empower women in the working environment and help remove obstacles that affect their professional development and work, with the ultimate goal of developing a better society. Brankica Jankovic, Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, spoke at the event, Jelena Mihajlovic, Manager of the USAID’s project ‘She Knows’, Gaia Montelatici, Co-Founder & CEO, Impact Hub, Stefan Lazarevic, President of AmCham Serbia and Nemanja Drobnjak, Chief Operating Officer, CBS International. Panellists underlined the importance of developing a culture of gender equality in the business environment, with the active involvement and support of men. The event was organised with the support of CBS International, part of the Cushman & Wakefield Group and PepsiCo.
